Shawn Byrnes of Del Rey MD Honored with Rookie of the Year Award at National Breathe Free Conference

National Breathe Free hosted its annual Breathe Free Conference from April 24 to 28, giving out several awards, including the Rookie of the Year Award to Shawn Byrnes of Del Rey MD.

"Rookie of the Year is awarded to those who make an immediate and impactful difference, and Shawn Byrnes at Marina Del Rey has done just that,” said Todd Tomlinson, National VP of Operations at National Breathe Free. “His enthusiasm, fresh perspective, and outstanding performance have quickly made him an invaluable team member. Shawn's remarkable contributions in such a short time truly deserve this recognition."

Shawn is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in real estate, healthcare, hospitality, and higher education. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech University and a Master's in Organizational Leadership from Ottawa University. Throughout his career, Shawn has demonstrated a commitment to excellence and a passion for helping others, driving positive change in diverse industries. His leadership roles have focused on fostering growth, innovation, and exceptional service, while his personal interests include sports, cycling, and youth development through mentorship.

Other awards given out during the multi-day event included: Katie Scherer of Tampa Bay Breathe Free, who won the Above and Beyond Award; Sierra Wuertz of Scottsdale Sinus and Allergy, who won the Integrity Award; Roxanne Fritz of SoCal Burbank Breathe Free, who won the Max Effort Award; George Yateem of National Breathe Free, who won the Gratitude Award; Daniel Costello of Frederick Breathe Free, who won the Extreme Ownership Award; Tia Tiebklang of Gulf Coast Breathe Free, who won the Heart and Hustle Award; and Mark Kline of Frederick Breathe Free, who won the Lauren Campbell Award.
